Policy & Insights
Understand the landscape and help shape the conditions for action
Policy & Insights helps members understand the external environment and the conditions that can accelerate, or hold back, implementation of their sustainability plans.
Five connected opportunities help members understand the environment, strengthen their ability to engage with it, and use collective evidence to improve the conditions for implementing their sustainability plans.
WBCSD combines insight from a global, cross-sector membership with longstanding relationships across policy, standards and multilateral institutions. Reporting Matters strengthens confidential peer-benchmarked analysis; the Business Breakthrough Barometer turns aggregated evidence and executive experience into a collective business view; and WBCSD brings that evidence into direct engagement with decision-makers. Alongside its longstanding support for members at COP and other multilateral forums, WBCSD is building a Positive Policy Centre to strengthen member positioning with governments on the incentives needed to unlock business action and investment at scale.
