Solution Accelerators
Turn shared challenges into focused, funded action
Some sustainability challenges require a smaller group of companies willing to go deeper, bringing the funding, expertise and practical commitment needed to develop and test a solution together.
Solution Accelerators create that space. They bring focused cohorts of members together around clearly defined, time-bound work that may explore an issue in greater depth, test solutions, address implementation barriers or accelerate action in a particular sector, value chain or region. Accelerators can emerge from Communities or from work within the Action Themes.
Existing Accelerators continue work already underway, while new ones are activated when members identify a clear purpose, sufficient interest, the necessary funding and resources and practical deliverables and timelines. What is learned is shared back with the wider membership so others can benefit from the work.
Explore the Solution Accelerator opportunities
The following Solution Accelerators have already been identified which give members the opportunity to go deeper on challenges that require dedicated expertise, funding and collective action. They either continue legacy initiatives or create new ways of furthering existing work together. Members who would like to propose new Solution Accelerators together with four or more other members can share their interest via their Key Account Manager, and proposals will be considered quarterly.
More information on each Solution Accelerator can be found in the Platform deep dives section (see last tab in main menu).
Solution Accelerators are available to WBCSD members at an additional cost. Participation fees vary by Accelerator and are confirmed when full funding is agreed with participating members.
